GENDER ROLES IMPACT EVERYONE
THEY INFORM OUR IDENTITY AND SHAPE IDEAS ABOUT THOSE AROUND US.
AS AN ISSUE THAT AFFECTS EACH PERSON, THE EVIDENCE SHOWS WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT GENDER TO REDUCE GENDER INEQUALITY, DISCRIMINATION, OPPRESSION AND VIOLENCE IN THE COMMUNITY.
WITHOUT CRITICAL ENGAGEMENT, GENDER ROLES CAN AFFECT RELATIONSHIPS, RESTRICT OPPORTUNITIES AND LIMIT POTENTIAL.
WE KNOW GENDER IS HARD TO DISCUSS. THAT'S WHY CHALK CIRCLE CREATES CONVERSATIONS AROUND GENDER LITERACY TO EMPOWER THE NEXT GENERATION.
Keep up to date with our growing Chalk Circle
community by connecting with us on social media.
We acknowledge Aboriginal Peoples are Australia’s first Peoples and the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we work. As advocates we want to make real the goal of gender equality and promote women’s rights as human rights. This includes nurturing an environment that respects and values Aboriginal women and peoples, and their cultures and rights.
